The Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBoK) is arguably the most widely read resource on systems engineering in the world with an average of 50,000 views monthly to hundreds of articles in its wiki (
http://www.sebokwiki.org) . The International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE), Stevens Institute of Technology’s Systems Engineering Research Center, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Computer Society (IEEE-CS) jointly manage the SEBoK as stewards in the interest of the worldwide systems engineering community.
The three SEBoK steward organizations proudly announce that effective July 1, 2018, Dr. Robert Cloutier will become the 3rd editor-in-chief (EIC) of the SEBoK, taking over for Rick Adcock, whose term is expiring after more than four years at the helm. Dr. Cloutier is a Professor Systems Engineering at the University of South Alabama, where he is also the Program Chair for the Systems Engineering Program, and Director of Graduate Studies and Programs for the College of Engineering. As EIC, Dr. Cloutier will be responsible for the technical content and strategic direction of the SEBoK, oversee the wiki publication process, and enhance the SEBoK’s visibility and impact. He will appoint and manage an editorial board; coordinate and process submissions, reviews, and final copy editing; ensure timely publication of high quality new versions; and ensure that SEBoK content evolves to reflect the changing nature of systems engineering.
The Governing Board also greatly appreciate the service of outgoing Editor in Chief Richard Adcock. In his four years as Editor in Chief, Rick has provided steady leadership and a clear vision for BKCASE, and we would not be where we are without him.
